Permanent Representative Amb. Vaqif Sadiqov has met Dr. Margaret Chan, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) on May 2, 2016 in WHO Headquarters in Geneva.
 
During the meeting, the parties expressed their satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the WHO and exchanged views on the further development of mutual relationship. Ambassador Vaqif Sadiqov mentioned that Azerbaijan stands ready for more close cooperation with the WHO, and our country highly appreciates the support provided by the Organization in fight against a number of diseases.  Director-General Margaret Chan highly appreciated the achievements of Azerbaijan in the fields of health and social protection of population.
